Join our team as the Electrical Property Operations Technician at Treasury Brisbane & The Star Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queens Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australias newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.
In this role you will initially have the opportunity to work across Treasury Brisbane whilst being involved in the opening of The Star Brisbane.
The Electrical Property Operations Technician at Treasury Brisbane won't just see you flipping switches; you'll be orchestrating the heartbeat of our property. Supporting the Property Operations Leadership team, you will assist with trouble shooting property problems, rectifying issues where possible, engaging approved contractors where authorized and appropriately escalating matters when required. This is a shift role on a rotating roster.
A few of your responsibilities
Support the Property Operations Management team with operational aspects of the Property Operations Department
Use appropriate resources during each shift to ensure that the business demands are met
Oversee the operational functions of all electrical operations during shift
Complete field inspections as appropriate to ensure required operation of facility
Trouble shoot in the event of building problems
Make recommendations to the Property Operations Manager for any energy savings ideas
What we are looking for
Queensland Electrical license
Previous experience in a logistic support role with engineering or maintenance experience required
Exposure to high turnover hospitality operations
Strong understanding of Occupational Health & Safety legislation an advantage
About you
Having previous experience in engineering or maintenance support, you will hold a current QLD Electrical Licence. Having a strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and BMS, or similar control systems, you will have a knack for fault finding and diagnostics. Coupled with your proficiency in using hand and power tools, you will have strong reporting skills both computer based and logbooks. With your passion for delivering thrilling guest experiences, we are seeking applications from candidates who can work autonomously and within a team who have high levels of enthusiasm and attention to detail.
