About the role

This is a rewarding opportunity for you to make a positive impact in the lives of people with a Disability.

We are looking for female Disability Support Workers to join our Kalgoorlie team to work with a number of clients who require support.

The ideal applicants will have a calming nature, enjoy going for walks and be able to encourage our clients to engage in the community.

Note: it is a mandatory requirement of this role that you are able do personal care for clients.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Support our clients to work towards achieving their individual aims
  • Support in day to day living, promoting cooking, housekeeping, hygiene, shopping, going to the gym etc.
  • Personal care including bathing and toileting 
  • Liaise and collaborate with clients, their community and community support agencies
  • Monitor and review client’s progress through the service and against the case plan
  • Utilise positive behaviour strategies
  • Maintenance of progress notes and record keeping

 Skills & Experience

  • Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 & HLTAID001) or willing to obtain
  • NDIS Screening Check (to complete during background checks)

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
