About the role

Join our Team as a Carer Engagement Officer on a 7 month contract starting in April 2021 based in our Hurstville office. This part-time position (30 hours per week) is responsible for marketing and recruitment activities for Foster Carers with a focus on quality carer attraction, engagement and retention. 

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to enquiries from prospective foster carers and help guide them through the application and assessment process • Provide relevant information to foster care applicants through enquiry and screening stages • Design and implement a carer attraction and engagement plan appropriate to local demand  • Proactively engage with the community, including attending relevant events • Support the family finding work for kinship care or respite options   Skills & Experience   • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, sales, recruitment or other relevant field and/or equivalent experience • Current Drivers Licence • Demonstrated knowledge/experience of Foster Care and previous experience of recruiting Foster Carers (desired)  • Demonstrated experience within the Out of Home Care sector  • Strong focus to provide a high quality and responsive service to our families and Children & Young People • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with strong communication skills
