Surveillance Trainee Operator

The Star Entertainment Group owns and operates The Star Sydney, The Star Gold Coast and Treasury Brisbane. Each property boasts an array of restaurants, bars, entertainment and hotels. The Star Gold Coast are currently taking applications for a Surveillance Trainee Operator to join our Surveillance team to train and to obtain the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the role of Surveillance Operator.  A Surveillance Operator is responsible for the surveillance of the operation and conduct of the casino floor, cashier cages, count rooms and other back of house areas.  The team are responsible for providing effective and efficient response to all safety & security communication needs for the property in order to maintain a safe environment for customers and team members.

• A high level of personal integrity and the ability to work in a highly restricted and confidential environment
• Proven commitment to providing a high level of customer service to all external and internal customers
• Ability to maintain a high level of verbal and written communication
• Demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations in a timely and professional manner
• Sharp observation skills and excellent retentive memory
• Self-discipline and the ability to follow regimented procedures
• Demonstrated ability to learn new processes and systems
• Strong mathematical aptitude
• Ability to work within a strong team environment
• The desire for a long term career within the Surveillance field
• Availability to work any shift during a 24hr rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Either currently hold a Queensland Casino License (CE) or Queensland Key Employee Casino License (KE) or be eligible to obtain one
