Located within the lobby of The Darling Hotel, Sokyo is an experience unlike any other, with its fusion of uber-cool ambience, eclectic energy and innovative Japanese dishes.

In this role, you will join the Head Chef in the day-to-day operation as well as supporting aspects of the kitchen management including ordering and training while also providing outstanding customer service to our guests.

The ideal candidate is someone who has:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie focusing on Sushi and Sashimi.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications such as a Certificate in Commercial Cookery
  • The ability to perform in a busy and fast-paced kitchen
  • Full working rights for a commitment of 40 hours per week on a rotating roster that can include evenings, weekends and public holidays
