Sous Chef | Commissary

The Star Sydney is looking for a passionate, highly dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in our Commissary kitchen! This role requires a star who can perform in a fast-paced, high energy and high volume kitchen.

You will support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including ordering, production schedules, budgeting, training, menu creation and staffing. You will ensure flawless service standards for our guests. 

Ideally, we are hoping to welcome a Sous Chef with the following:

• Minimum 5 years experience as Junior Sous Chef
• Admin experience required: Ordering, Stocktake, Roster/ Performance Management
• Knowledge of a variety of cooking styles is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability in planning, resourcing, and controlling expenses
• Strong operational leadership and motivation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• The desire to succeed and further your career
• Has led a team of at least 7 chefs
• Training staff on standards
