About the Job

As the Product Marketing Officer, you will support the launch of new product and the promotion of existing product across identified discipline areas. You will also prepare marketing briefs covering product benefits, positioning and target audience to ensure new products are appropriately positioned and communicated to market through advertising campaign and event activity.

You will liaise with the specialised Marketing & Student Recruitment teams, the Swinburne delivery areas (schools, vocational teaching areas, etc) and other key stakeholders within the university under the direction of the Product Marketing Manager. Further, you will assist in building and maintaining successful working relationships between the Marketing & Student Recruitment team and these stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist the Product Marketing Manager in the management of their Product Portfolio.

Other responsibilities within this role includes undertaking desktop research to inform competitive reviews to provide input to the management of the product portfolio. You will coordinate new product launches and existing business as usual (BAU) product marketing activities, contributing to the delivery of a high level of marketing services to the broader organisation. Collaboration with the Events team to plan and execute recruitment events will also be an important part of your role.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Completed a relevant degree/diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
• Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of campaign briefs
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills with specific evidence of successful stakeholder management
• An understanding of the digital environment and its key messaging channels
