Senior Consultant - Organisational Design

The People Transformation & Consulting (PTC) team are responsible for designing and delivering various workforce initiatives which directly contribute to ANZs purpose to “shape a world where people and communities thrive”

Innovation is at the heart of PTC, we’re rapidly evolving, growing and delivering complex work that has resulted in the need for an experienced Senior Consultant to help us deliver on our book of work.

As part of the internal consulting team that helps shape our future organisation you will lead the design and delivery of diverse, large scale people initiatives such as operating model & organisational design programs, input into restructures & offshoring and organisational design elements relating to mergers, acquisitions & divestments, all of which are aligned to ANZ’s strategic business priorities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partnering with the Business and acting as their trusted Organisation Design consultant
  • Contributing to developing ANZ’s Organisation Design proposition and capability uplift
  • Coach and upskill the wider PTC team, particularly sharing knowledge and experience
  • Act as a SME across organisation design, operating model design, governance, and accountability design
  • Act as the employee advocate to optimise and improve their experience during change 
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

What could your day look like?

  • Partner with the business to conduct current state assessments for teams and analyse thematic pain points to inform future design
  • Define target state organisation design that aligns with the organisation strategy
  • Support the design of clear governance and accountabilities to support effective decision making within the business
  • Develop and execute a solution with the employee experience at the front and centre of any transformation
  • Lead and support your project team to successfully deliver on a common goal
  • Contribute to PTC and Organisation Design Continuous Improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing with peers

What’s in your toolkit?

  • Experience leading and supporting organisation design and transformation programs including operating model transformation
  • Accountability and governance; clearly defining accountabilities within and across functional teams to ensure effective decision making, role clarity and improved operational delivery
  • Partner with the business to identify and propose a viable solution, with at times minimal information
  • A proven ability to lead and implement global projects successfully
  • Adaptable and capable of dealing with complexities and ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment
  • Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, including influencing and challenging tricky decisions
