Innovation is at the heart of PT&C, we’re rapidly evolving, growing and delivering complex work that has resulted in an expanded M&A service offering and the need for an experienced Manager, People Transactions to help us deliver on our increasing M&A demand.
 
What’s your mission?
  • Leading the People stream to deliver end-to-end M&A / transactions activity (e.g. pre deal / due diligence, deal negotiating / signing, integration / separation planning and implementation).
  • Developing our people transactions offering, including methodologies, approaches, tools and templates.
  • Grow our people’s transactions capability within the team through experiential and formal learning.
What could your day look like?
  • Leading multiple due diligence initiatives relating to potential acquisitions (or divestments), working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated diligence support to M&A and key business stakeholders
  • Working closely with the M&A team, key business leaders and other parts of HR to identify and quantify key people risks and issues (i.e. adjustments to bid price) to inform bid price (including providing formal recommendations to the Board)
  • Collaborating with key business, M&A and potentially vendors or acquirers to drive the people integration (or separation) strategy and planning, including synergy planning and tracking
  • Key escalation point across multiple M&A projects to provide technical guidance, including collaborating with key HR, business and M&A stakeholders
  • Lead the people stream of an implementation program (integration or separation) to guide project team members and manage key people risks in collaboration with the integration/separation office and key business stakeholders.
What’s in your toolkit?
Extensive experience leading end-to-end transactions programs within a people stream throughout the due diligence, deal negotiation, implementation strategy / planning /execution.
  • Technical, SME people transactions experience to provide technical guidance on employment related risks, issues and associated costs
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a strong commercial mindset
  • Ability to identify key value drivers and key risks that impact deal value
  • Ability to work at pace, drawing on experience to solve complex workforce problems
  • Highly effective and authentic communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to build credibility with, and influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to upskill and invest in team members’ development and growth through a combination of formal and structured experiential learning opportunities
  • Proven track record leading teams with a strong delivery focus.
