About the role:

As a Risk and Business Continuity Manager you will be responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement to Uniting’s enterprise-wide risk management, business continuity and emergency planning policies, frameworks, processes and reporting to the Executive and Board Committees. We are looking for someone who is fully developed in Risk Management and looking to expand their skill set to include Business Continuity and Emergency Management at the governance level. This is a full time permanent position located in either Parramatta or Sydney CBD. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Development, Implementation and Continual improvement of the Risk Management Policy and Framework and ensuring it remains suitable to support achieving the objectives of Uniting through performance monitoring and management review  
  • Development, Implementation and Continual improvement of the Business Continuity and Crisis Response Management Policy and Framework
  • Evaluation of documentation, capabilities and testing outcomes, independent performance evaluation of business continuity framework and implementation  
  • Development and Implementation of the Emergency Management Framework and Procedure 

About you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 5 years experience in enterprise or corporate Risk Management and Business Continuity within a large multi-site organisation 
  • Minimum 2 years experience a as senior manager within risk management 
  • Ability to effectively manage stakeholders from operations up to senior management and Executive level 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Extensive experience in Executive and Board report writing  
  • Natural ability to thrive in a state of change
