About the Job
Our Finance department is currently looking for an experienced Finance Systems Accountant to join the team on an ongoing, full-time basis. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the Finance system, implementing improvements in processes, building reports and improved system functionality and ensuring the integrity of financial data and processes through the University Finance Systems.
As the Finance Systems Accountant, you will directly support the Associate Director, Commercial and Financial Planning and Analysis and collaborate with our Finance and IT Application teams to maintain and improve systems and database integration across the University including the HRIS system (Workday), Load & Revenue database and other systems required to support reporting and analysis requirements across the University. Working in a collaborative team, you will bring your expertise in delivering operational excellence and embedding process to drive improvements in processes and systems.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (CPA), or currently undertaking either program.
- Extensive experience of AASB and local market accounting standards.
- Advance knowledge in Finance systems (preferable Technology 1) and software/database development skills.
- Experience working in a large and complex organisation, in a Commercial Finance, General Finance or Financial Planning & Analysis team, or similar experience gained in a Chartered firm.
