THE ROLE

The School Manager is responsible for the effective leadership and management of all non-academic services of the School; ensuring that they support and enhance the Schools teaching and learning programs and the experience of the School’s students each year. This role will lead the cultural and work practice changes required to support strategic directions, whilst managing operational teams, resources and business planning activities in collaboration with RMIT Vietnam’s operational Divisions. The position assists the  Dean of SBM on matters relating to management, leadership, planning and policy.

 

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, business administration or management or relevant field
  • At least 6 years of experience in a similar position; leading a substantial and complex business administration function.  International Higher education environment is desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and expertise in planning and budgeting for the provision of diverse services, including finance, administrative, and technical support functions to a group within an organization.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate a team of professionals to successfully deliver a program of work and maintain a positive, collaborative organisational culture.   
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and present complex data to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, interpretation, implementation, and evaluation of practice in relation to policies and procedures.
  • Excellent English skills, both written and oral.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including negotiation, liaison, cross-cultural communication, and report writing skills.
  • Excellent financial management experience and demonstrated commercial acumen.

FURTHER INFORMATION

  • English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS 7.0, or Linguaskills 170) or equivalent. 
  • As an expatriate candidate you will require a work permit to be employed in Vietnam.  To qualify for a work permit you will need a tertiary qualification in a relevant field to this position and be able to demonstrate at least 3 years of overseas relevant experience in a similar role.
  • We have positions in Hanoi and HCMC campuses.
