About You and the role:
As the Research Fellow you will support the research aims of devising new approaches for handling complex information needs and interpreting the intentions of users in session-based search or complex answer retrieval contexts. You will have research experience in information retrieval in addition to an interest in one or more of the following: Lab-based and crowdsourcing-based user studies, machine learning, or natural language processing. You will have both research and software development skills and will work with the supervisors on the development and evaluation of algorithms to support effective and efficient large-scale search engines.
