Life Skills Supporter - Promenade House

About the opportunity 

Uniting is seeking a Part Time Disability Support Worker to work across the Central Coast from Narara, The Entrance, Bateau Bay to Killarney Vale. Working with participants on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you will make a real difference by building the participants’ capacity with daily living and confidence in accessing the community. You will have no shortage of variety in your role, working across 5 different group homes on the Coast and supporting participants within their homes.

This role is for 10 hours per fortnight

About You

To be considered for this role you will have:

• A Certificate III or IV in Disability, or equivalent accreditation in social science/community services
• An understanding of the complex needs of a person with a disability, their families and carers; and how to implement person-centred plans in line with identified goals of the individual
• Demonstrated experience using a technology to keep up to date records
• Experience supporting participants from Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds would be advantageous
