A great opportunity has arisen in our Food and Beverage Management Team at The Star Gold Coast.  We are seeking an Assistant Venue Manager for our new venue, Uncle Su!

As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will be hands on to ensure the smooth running of the day to day operations of multiple outlets ensuring delivery of an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the venue operations meet budgetary targets and assisting with the development of initiatives to maximise revenue and minimise costs
  • Assisting with the monitoring and evaluation of service and product delivery
  • Maintaining a high level of team focus on delivering outstanding guest service
  • Assisting in resolving guest service queries and concerns
  • Managing team performance and development
  • Working with internal key stakeholders to deliver outcomes for the business

We are specifically looking for someone who has:

  • Supervisory experience in leading a large team in a restaurant or bar environment
  • Strong knowledge of food & beverage products, trends and industry practices
  • Demonstrated ability in planning and resourcing of people and products
  • Experience in managing costs including labour to create operational efficiencies
  • Demonstrated ability in developing productive relationships and managing and driving change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • Flexible availability to suit business needs, including weekends and public holidays
  • A strong hospitality career focus and the ambition to be part of a fast paced, dynamic and growing department
