Journey Expert – Payments & Merchant Services

Role type: Permanent, full-time

Role location: 833 Collins Street with minimum 2 days per week in the office

 

The purpose of the Tribe is to make, simple, industry-leading ways for customers to send and receive payments, quickly, reliably and cost-effectively.

 

As a Journey Expert, you will be optimising existing end-to-end merchant journeys across the value chain and improving the customer experience by devising innovative solutions and services. 

Working in the squad, you’ll be designing and delivering pricing strategies, supporting merchants to make the most cost effective routing choices and completing regular monitoring to ensure simple, effective banking solutions. You will be managing pricing changes from end to end ensuring well-managed sustainable solutions are delivered. Within the squad, you’ll be the role model for ensuring that propositions are compliant, responsible and compelling for our current and future merchants.

What might be in your toolkit?

 

•       Knowledge about ANZ merchant products, processes and systems. You may have worked in roles such as operations, frontline, assurance/risk, business analysis, change management – there is a preference for previous product management experience

•       Value chain management - with experience in explaining and working through complex issues with senior stakeholders

•       Compliance & risk management – you build sustainable solutions that protect stakeholders and customers, and proactively address risks by making improvements in the bank’s overall risk and control environment

•       Commercial acumen – you have awareness and know how and what impacts the profit and loss of a business balancing risk and reward, understanding the drivers and taking action to achieve sustainable growth
