About the role
Permanent, full time position located in our Sunshine Office. This position provides education and vocation expertise and support to children and young people in LWB Child Youth & Family programs and it aims to achieve education outcomes equitable with their age peers.
This role will primarily focus on a small group of young people across 3 to 4 residential homes in the West Melbourne and Geelong area.
The Education Consultant works within the childÂ’s care team providing a collaborative service to support and enhance education and vocation outcomes for children and young people in residential care. The Education Consultant will work directly with young people and the teams that support them including Schools, Training Providers, Youth Workers, Therapeutic Specialists and Program Managers in the areas of school engagement, education pathways and individual learning plans and learning supports.Â
The Education Consultant position is part of and is professionally supported by the Life Without Barriers National Education Unit.
