About Us

RMIT is a global university of technology, design and enterprise in which teaching, research and engagement are central to achieving positive impact and creating life-changing experiences for our students. Our mission is to help shape the world through research, innovation, teaching and engagement, and to create transformative experiences for our students, getting them ready for life and work.

About the role

Our Business Technology Partners (BTP) are the strategic interface between ITS and the University portfolios and act as a trusted advisor in the adoption and use of information and digital capabilities and services that support the portfolio’s operations and strategic objectives.

We currently have a vacancy for a BTP within our Engagement stream, which would see you act as the principal engagement point for the University into ITS and act as an advocate for the University portfolio with technology.

As the BTP, you will be a champion of the technology vision, services and capabilities to the University, facilitating, negotiating and strategically engaging with senior stakeholders on initiatives to enable the University to deliver on its strategy.

You will proactively engage with the business to identify the needs of the business over the short, medium and long term for technology and digital capabilities.   Act as the principal engagement point into technology for the business partner and take ownership for the communications with the business on the health of operations and delivery investments.

About You

You will have solid experience in building and cultivating effective partnerships between business and technology on a strategic and senior stakeholder level. Excellent communication, diplomacy, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to adapt these to a diverse range of stakeholders and contexts.

Proven capability in defining technology solutions on a global scale that enable the business strategy and secure stakeholder commitment and approval at a senior leadership level.

A passion for technology and digital domains including new and emerging technologies and strong experience in developing and managing large scale technology portfolios.
