What we are looking for

Our IT Team is Growing! As part of our growth, we are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our IT team based Brisbane.

This position will see you work closely with a variety of partners across the business including within our Gaming, Hospitality and Corporate teams. You will support the Gaming Product and Strategy team and develop in-house systems to required specifications.

Key responsibilities in the role are but not limited to:

• Work closely with the Senior DevOps Engineer, development/delivery analysts and the Architects, to define the requirements of an application and build to requirements.
• Use you experience and initiative to offer alternative functionality solutions for the business
• Work with the test team on bug fixes and remediation
• Receive and respond to raised support tickets
• Be a crucial member of current and future project and delivery teams responsible for improving existing systems or developing new systems.
• Analyse and review problems and provide possible solutions

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Advanced skills and experience in one or more of the major programming languages, and in the evaluation of equipment and software options.
• Project planning and specification skills, together with problem solving and analysis.
• At least 1-3 years experience in Software Development or a relevant IT field, with at least 1-3 years in systems specification and design.
• Experience with .NET and Web Methods
• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience within a project delivery team that has successfully delivered a major business solution (applications systems) into production.
• Ability to operate in a fast paced, multi-level Information Technology environment
• Solid understanding of Product Development, Process Development and Improvement or Operations management is helpful
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal – with the ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels of the organisation
