What we are looking for

We are seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join our team on a fixed term full time basis. You will play a huge role providing guidance and support to our Leaders on low risk/ complex cases. You will also have a genuine interest in Employee relations and enjoy working in fast paced environment.

Key responsibilities in the role are but not limited to:

  • Provide support and advice to leaders on low risk and low complex Employee Relations (ER) matters concerning team members including Probationary Periods, Abandonment of Employment, Flexible Work Applications and Performance Improvement Plans
  • Provide initial guidance and advice to leaders and team members on the interpretation and application of company policies and procedures
  • Provide initial advice to leaders on low risk and low complex non-work-related injuries/illnesses
  • Coordinate the ER Consultancy program of work and associated administration delivery
  • Provide administrative support to the wider ER Team; preparing meeting notes, taking minutes, and collating documentation, as required
  • Identify ER trends and coordinate fortnightly/monthly/quarterly presentations on ER analytics for the ER leadership team and, other People and Performance teams, to support the People and Performance strategy
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvement on ER matters relating to process and procedures
  • Resolve ER queries, and escalate matters to the ER Specialist and ER Manager, Consultancy, as required

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Undergraduate degree in HR, Business or a related discipline
  • Entry level HR experience in a mid to large sized organisation
  • Experience in participating in and coordinating a range of administrative HR functions
  • Experience working with teams across multiple businesses and locations
  • Experience working in service industries and fast paced dynamic workplaces
  • Comprehensive skills/knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
