About the Role

Role Location: Melbourne
Role Type: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time (minimum of 32 hours/week)
 

As an Assurance Manager, you will provide 1st Line operational risk management support across Banking Services (which consists of Group Payments, Group Services, Payment Industry CoE & Open Banking), ensuring that all risks are identified and mitigated to ensure the business operates effectively, and provide risk advisory services across the Banking Services business units.

You will also be responsible for:

• Helping embed the Operational Risk Framework and a sound risk culture within Banking Services and drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Partnering with businesses to support them in delivering their own risk management accountabilities (e.g. changes, events, treatments, control design) via provision of input, expertise, coaching and guidance
• Embedding a risk and quality perspective and discipline in key business initiatives, ongoing management and assessment of compliance and regulatory matters and assist to identify any control and process weaknesses
• Providing assurance over quality and adequacy of risks, controls, treatments, events, audit items, obligations, change management etc. 
• Providing reporting and insights, identify trends and make recommendations in relation to how risks and compliance obligations are being identified, assessed and managed across the Banking Services Business Units

About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following skills and experience:

• Knowledge of key regulatory obligations, risks and controls within Financial Services and sound knowledge of risk management frameworks
• Experience in operational risk management which includes control design, event management, compliance, risk profiling and change management
• Proven technical experience in control design or testing and impacts to risk profile
• Ability to collaborate with the business to develop effective operational risk management solutions
• Strong decision making and problem solving capability
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build relationships
