About The Role
Role Location: Sydney NSW
Role Type: Permanent, Full Time

Note: The job level may vary dependent on the relevant experience and capabilities of the successful candidate. 

Your role as an Associate Director within the Financial Institutions Transaction Banking team will be responsible for managing, growing and developing a client portfolio consisting of primary and secondary banking customer relationships.

The objective of the role is to drive positive advocacy and generate buying decisions from clients within this portfolio by working with key senior stakeholders to leverage the business strategy, delivering on execution inclusive of trade opportunities.

This portfolio requires strategic and tactical management, whilst also providing intellectual capital on the underlying industry segment and staying relevant with regard to transaction banking developments.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute your skillsets to the wider Transaction Banking business as well as benefit from exposure by working in close co-ordination with colleagues in other geographies of the World. 

About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Proven banking experience in Transaction Banking Sales and / or relationship management (preferably covering FI client segment with knowledge of the Insurance market, regulations and requirements); Previous experience in Merchant acquiring with demonstrated industry knowledge; Good understanding of Working Capital Management (at both financial and operational levels);
  • Solid strategic thinker and business acumen to enable discussions with senior customer representatives regarding ANZ initiated deals;
  • Strong research and analytical skills to achieve deep customer understanding and develop customer specific service propositions;
  • Ability to identify future needs of clients through key questioning techniques;
  • Excellent professional presence and exceptional presentation skills;
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written in order to manage client expectations;
  • Proactive self-motivator with previous experience in sales & relationship management;
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task;
