About the Role

Working across our Supported Independent Living Program and Day Program in Orange, you will assist clients to achieve their goals through the provision of daily living support, mentorship, community access and various activities during the day. Our Day program operates between 8am-8pm and the Supported Independent Living Program operate on a 24/7 rotating roster. You will need to work a varied work pattern across multiple shifts between both programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients to explore and participate in community-based activities particularly sports, such as swimming and walking
• Increase the clientÂ’s choice and independence
• Establish relationships with clients, their families, and supporters 
• Support clients to manage their health, including mental health
• Manual handling, including operation of hoists
• Complete documentation and reporting requirements

Skills & Experience 

• Unrestricted NSW DriverÂ’s Licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Sound computer, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adhere to client support plans and complete documentation
