The Director, Health Science & Community will bring their strategic leadership skills and innovative thinking to contribute to this vision. This critical role leads and manages the educational and business activities for the department within PAVE.
Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor - PAVE, the Director will significantly contribute to the design, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative, high quality education programs within the Department of Health Science & Community, aligned with Swinburne’s 2025 strategic direction. The Director will also oversee operational matters at Swinburne’s Wantirna campus.

About you
To be suitable for the role you will be a highly experienced leader with demonstrated practice in leading larger teams and working collaboratively with leaders and key stakeholders across a tertiary institution to achieve outcomes. Additionally, you will possess a proven record in devising and implementing innovative approaches to teaching and learning, including the application of new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development of innovative, high quality training programs and delivery models; for local and international markets that meet the needs of industry and the community, in accord with government and University requirements.
• Implement, monitor and adapt agreed initiatives in the broad areas of teaching and learning within PAVE and promote innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.
• Work collaboratively with the other Directors to achieve effective and efficient outcomes for teaching, course development, delivery and use of resources.
• Contribute to the advancement of co-operation between PAVE and Higher Education
• Develop and maintain appropriate networks and strategic partnerships within the TAFE sector to ensure a focus on continuous improvement of vocational education program development and initiatives.
