About You

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Research Proposals and Awards Management, you will play a key role in the Research and Innovation (R&I) Portfolio by supporting researchers to develop and submit strategic and competitive tender proposals and quotations. You will provide a “front door” for research tenders at RMIT by evaluating tender opportunities, providing consistent research service levels, and promoting tenders as a sustainable research income stream. Additionally, you will provide macro project management expertise to tender development and manage the existing portfolio of research panels of which RMIT is a member. 

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Extensive experience managing and developing competitive industry tender and proposal submissions, ideally within the higher education sector.
  • Highly developed communication and client relations skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team. 
  • Extensive demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative and project support in a large and complex organisation. 
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to exercise discretionary judgment in assessing opportunities and risks.
