About the role /College
The Experience Groups vision is to bring to life RMITs 2020 strategy by putting the student at the centre of everything we do, creating a differentiated brand proposition, developing integrated deep insights for all of our global students, and cultivating a differentiated and relevant service experience for those segments. The Experience unit includes the following teams; Market Intelligence & Analysis; Market Development & Customer Innovation; Brand, Segments and Campaigns; Marketing Business Partners and Global Student recruitment. The Global Student Recruitment Team leads all sales and direct marketing activities. It also includes International admissions activities, International student services, sponsorship development, and agent management.
The Student Recruitment Officer is a member of the Domestic Student Recruitment Team and is responsible for actively promoting RMIT programs to prospective school leaver students through campus tours and presentations, school and career expos. The position is also responsible for maintaining an integrated marketing and communication strategy for RMIT, including ongoing market research, to ensure the delivery of a coordinated message and approach to all segments of the market, and to raise market awareness of the features and strengths of RMIT University. The position involves regional, international and interstate travel (extensive driving) and regular after hours work.
About you
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working with school communities and relevant industry associations to build rapport with secondary school students. You will have an understanding of secondary and tertiary education in Victoria, and you will be able to convey complex information and ideas clearly to a variety of different audiences. Possessing excellent organisational, event management and communicative skills will be key to your success in this role. Furthermore, you will have demonstrated computer literacy including data management systems and software.
