About the role/College 

The purpose of RMIT’s College of Vocational Education is to empower learners and our industry, community and government partners to succeed in the new world of work. Our five-year strategic roadmap, ALiVE@RMIT, purposefully guides everything we do in vocational education to deliver our vision: to position RMIT as a leading multi-sector provider with global impact and influence.

Planning and Resources

Our planning and resources function puts the student at the centre of our thinking through a precinct-based approach that delivers the right support where it is needed most. This enables us to deliver a consistent student and staff experience with differentiation between whole of college services and bespoke units or functions.

The Senior Coordinator, CBD, Carlton, Brunswick & Bundoora Student Lifecycle will lead a team that will provide administrative support to the student lifecycle from enrolment to graduation, including the provision of timely and accurate advice to students and Learning & Teaching (L&T) staff. They will allocate resource in staffing to support student enquiries as well as be responsible for meeting service level agreements for enrolments, advice to students, and student progression.

The role will be a key resource in interfacing with Delivery Operations and L&T Delivery and they will manage the student support workflow for each industry grouping and meet their requirements. The role is expected to establish and maintain an inclusive student-centric service culture across the teams and contribute to cultural and work practice changes that promote an effective team working environment and a commitment to the provision of high quality customer service.

About you 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with a diverse range of individuals, cultures and complex situations.
  • Proven skills and experience in successfully leading, motivating and managing a team that manage a high volume of queries and issues, and foster a strong commitment to high level customer service.
  • Proven high level administrative skills preferably with experience in the tertiary sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage complex tasks with a commitment to meeting strict deadlines.
  • High level computer skills with experience using the full Microsoft suite, databases and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Demonstrated pro-active approach to short and long term planning, organisational and project management.
