Analytics Lead – Digital Fraud

  • Actively engage in the detection and prevention of Digital Fraud, Cheque Fraud, and Scams.
  • Lead and grow a team of analysts to deliver effective fraud strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across ANZ, as well as peers across the industry, to protect ANZ and our customers against fraud.
  • Empower the team to grow by fostering a culture of questioning the status quo, embracing novel solutions, and close collaboration.
  • Encourage and maintain a close partnership between Digital Fraud Analytics and Operations to deploy strategies which focus on improving Customer Experience.

 

About The Role

Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time opportunity

 

As the Lead of our Digital Fraud Analytics team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Fraud Analysts to drive reduction in our Digital Fraud / Scam and Cheque portfolios. Over recent years, there has been a shift from traditional digital fraud and a move to scam related attacks. Given the rapidly changing field, this role requires advanced problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box. The Analytics Lead role requires engagement with stakeholders across a broad range of areas within ANZ to provide knowledge taking them on the journey regarding Digital Fraud / Scams landscape. There is also an expectation to remain abreast of changes in the industry and peers at other financial institutions. The Digital Fraud Analytics Lead would ideally have technical skills (SQL, SAS) and previously worked in fraud prevention or detection space.

 

Furthermore, you will be reponsible in the following: 

  • Responsible for leading a team of Digital Fraud Analysts to minimise losses (classified as fraud / scam / cheque fraud) on Australian Retail & Commercial products.
  • Lead the team focused on understanding customer behaviour in order to configure and maintaining strategies on ANZ's Detection tools (Falcon).
  • Connect with people from different areas of the business and tailor conversations to help people with a variety of backgrounds understand fraud.
  • A passion to challenge the status quo and familiarity with strong feedback culture.
  • A thrive to continually improve Customer Experience by thinking outside the box and using data available to make effective decisions.
  • Part of your role will also be a responsibility to influence industry detection trends through maintaining strong networks with various financial services and other strategic areas within ANZ.
  • Provide support to the Senior Manager Fraud Analytics and identify rule refinement opportunities to improve the Digital Fraud capability to reduce fraud losses as a result of Digital / Scam Fraud.
