headspace Early Psychosis of Uniting an early intervention service for young people aged 12 to 25 years. The service supports those young people who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis or are at risk of experiencing psychosis. Psychosis involves the experience of symptoms such as, confused thinking, false beliefs (delusions), hallucinations, changes in mood - such as ongoing depression and changed behaviours, such as irrational anger.
Role Overview
The Vocational and Educational Coordinator (VEC) contributes toward and implements the delivery of the Individual Placement Support (IPS) principles as outlined by Orygen Youth Health. The VEC engages with and supports young people in their psychosocial recovery through their involvement with a variety of interventions, revolving around vocational and educational programs.
