Position Overview
- This position is under IP & Optical Network RBC as the technical customer interface in presales activities for IP and Optical portfolio business in Australia and New Zealand market. Current Australian residence is preferred.
- This Presales Engineer and Architect shall work under IPO regional/country managers guidance and support the sales team to achieve the market breakthrough and business growth for IP & Optical business in Australia and New Zealand market.
- This Presales Engineer and Architect shall conduct and contribute the major efforts for customer discussion, workshop, network architecture design, and offer proposal, with deep enough knowledge and professional work. The work and support shall be extended to the testing and project deployment phase to assure the success of the project with end-to-end promise.
- The 1st prime support technical domain is IP networks/solutions and WDM/ROADM shall be considered as part of the work as well.
Required competence and experience:
- The candidate shall have at least 5 years of working experience in the Telco industry, either the equipment vendor or Telco operator.
- The candidate shall have working experience in the technical presales jobs and an understanding of the proper way for customer interactions and internal team-working with other counterparts.
- The candidate shall have deep enough IP technical knowledge and understanding of the Telco IP network to conduct the high-level architecture design.
- The candidate shall have hands-on competence in IP Routing configuration and testing. Major IP vendor certificate is preferred to have.
- The candidate shall have DWDM/ROADM knowledge understanding as his/her second competence area.
- The candidate shall be familiar with excel, word, ppt for generating the bill of material, tender compliance and customer presentations, proposals.
