About The Role
Role Location: 833 Collins Street Docklands, however, other locations may be considered for the right candidate.
Role Type: Permanent, Full-time
Financial Crime Threat Management (FCTM) strives to protect our business and communities against financial crime threats. FCTM utilise customer data and intelligence to detect, investigate and escalate potentially suspicious activity such as money laundering, financing of terrorism, and activity involving sanctioned parties. FCTM specialists work within the Financial Crime Portfolio to support businesses across the group in complying with financial crime regulatory obligations.
You will be responsible for assessing and coordinating financial crime filtering solutions to enhance detection capabilities and quality of alerts generated, with a focus on solutions for AML Transaction Monitoring and Customer Risk Rating / Monitoring. You will work closely with other teams in Financial Crime to identify changes to improve detection coverage and design solutions to achieve these improvements based on inputs including typology reports, intelligence findings and risk assessments.
Development and implementation of new solutions, and utilising advanced data techniques is another responsibility of this role to improve the quality of outputs and timeliness of identification of potentially suspicious activity. The role will also be responsible for documenting the linkage between risk, coverage and detection and enhancing solutions and processes to monitor the operations of the filters to confirm that they are operating as required.
