About The Role

Role Location: 839 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008

Role Type: Fixed Term Full-Time

The Technical System Analyst role will be responsible for assessing system changes required through liaising with critical delivery teams supporting the mid-market lending simplification project (modelling, risk systems). This is in response to capital reforms which are increasing the Retail SME threshold from $1m to $1.5m which is driving sizeable data, operating model, policy, system and process changes across AR&C. This role will develop requirements that are accurate and fit-for-purpose for delivery of capital model changes for Wholesale Commercial Australia portfolio and support System Implementation Lead with implementation planning, managing project dependencies, technology integration and testing, data architecture design and stakeholder management.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate requirements clearly and concisely
  • Produce high quality documentation on technical solutions to ensure correct implementation
  • Conduct reviews of requirement, design and other documentation of interdependent projects & provide feedback to stakeholders and System Implementation Lead to ensure change requirements are met

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 2-5 years systems/business analysis experience and/or related technical experience
  • good knowledge of SAS and XML, programming language (or equivalent) and Excel.
  • Experience in credit risk, credit lifecycle and credit terms.
  • defines and measure success through the eyes of the customer, banker and risk manager, anticipates, understands and responds to evolving customer needs.
  • can appreciate difficult problems and work autonomously on tasks with a medium complexity, works collaboratively as part of a team and clearly represent consolidated findings
  • exposure to complex banking system configurations (portfolio management software, data warehousing, analytical tools)
  • Experience with Knowledge Management Systems (e.g. Confluence, Sharepoint)
  • high level of influencing and negotiating skills by demonstrating a sophisticated repertoire of influencing techniques with the ability to adjust style to different contexts and audiences.
