What’s your mission?
The My Cash Experience Value stream empowers our business customers to conduct cash transactions on their accounts with ANZ through a digital and self-service approach.
As a senior analyst supporting the "My Cash Experience " Value Stream, your mission is to help design and deliver software services that support this mission. 
Whilst not a people leader role, the expectation of a senior analyst is to lead and inspire those around you to achieve the value stream’s mission. We look to our analysts to create a culture of ownership, with a relentless focus on delivering value for our customers.

What will your day look like?
It's a very fast paced environment so no two days will be the same.  You will play a very important role in your squad that engages various parts of the bank and vendors ensuring that it is able to provide clear requirements and specifications to the delivery partners, and is aligned to customer value and the value stream’s goals.
As well as the normal technical business analyst responsibilities of eliciting and defining requirements from a technology perspective, managing squad backlogs, working with initiative and release leads you will also:

  • Support architects in defining and refining design details for the alternate cash experience solution
  • Liaise with other value stream Architects, other Technology teams in the bank and consolidate design information into the overall solution
  • Prepare and maintain quarterly roadmaps piecing together the feature/stories delivery from various delivery partners and vendors aligning to broader MyCash objectives thus helping the squad to prioritise
  • Ensure continually on the alignment of the squad work to these objectives-based roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineers to translate business requirements into workable technology outcomes for the delivery partners and squads
  • Work with internal Technology, Security, and Risk Partners to ensure our solutions are secure and well-managed.

What will be in your toolkit?
Extensive experience working within cross-functional, agile or continuous delivery teams.
We build robust squads so the ability to take on other roles (like the scrum master) when needed is essential.
Experience in end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives with a high degree of autonomy and independence.
Strong interest and grasp of technical concepts and practices, and comfortable working hands-on with engineering teams to develop and operate software platforms.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage a variety of people from senior program management, right through  Payments, accounting and cash domain knowledge, business acumen and commercial mindset to define solution designs, development standards and patterns that adhere to architecture blueprints and broader technology roadmaps

Previous experience with defining/ using:

  • Open APIs
  • Data Modelling
  • Process Modelling
  • System Interaction Modelling (Sequence Diagrams)
  • Plant UML
  • Agile tools – JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience in Information Security, Compliance and Operational requirements for bank systems.
