About The Role

Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008

Role Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (12 months) opportunity

 

Working with the Capacity Planning Lead, this role will assist with the design and application of  a robust framework for capacity planning that will be implemented by the Australia operations lines of business which will significantly improve service delivery performance for our customers by driving active operations management and control capability. 

 

These roles are responsible for ensuring the defined principles, tools, templates and practices significantly uplift our standards around controlling our operation on an intra-day, day/week, week/month, month/quarter and longer time horizons.  The approach needs to be  accessible to all levels of leadership from Team Leaders to Executives and drive proactive decision making around operational control and the need to balance cost, quality, service, and risk. The framework will build on the success of ATOM and our current forecasting capability to devolve more responsibility to the operational leaders at the same time raise the bar in terms of planning accuracy, resource flexibility, multi-location planning, volume volatility,  intra-day resource optimisation and short interval control, and driving the embedment of the requisite operational behaviours.

 

These roles are expected to challenge the way things are done to identify ways to improve the value that existing processes deliver to the business.  They are proactive roles, both in identifying opportunities and driving improvements to key business processes and technologies, and in collaborating with stakeholders in the business to implement change and improve the customer experience.

 

A Day in the Life...Everyday will be different but some of the key things you will do are:

  • Ensure the defined principles, tools, templates and practices significantly uplift our standards around controlling our operation on an intra-day, day/week, week/month, month/quarter and longer time horizons
  • Advise and/or coach the business in capacity management decision making
  • Complete analysis on resource and performance trends and convey to the business to drive questions, actions, decisions and next steps.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, will ideally bring the following:

  • Sound knowledge of CSO (Customer Service Operations) practices.
  • Sound knowledge of capacity planning at a strategic and practical day-to-day level.  Deep knowledge of ATOM and the relevant management actions.
  • Proven ability in undertaking complex analysis using sophisticated processes and evaluating outcomes. Drawing essential links between disparate data. Ability to convey this analysis simply to the business. Competency in excel is required.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills using data to support recommendations and escalations.
  • Professional maturity to drive continuous change.
