The Australian Transformation team is seeking talent as we look to reimagine banking for the future. As part of the team you will design and deliver compelling customer-centric solutions focused on improving the financial wellbeing of ANZ’s retail and commercial customers.
We are seeking a Technical Analyst to join our Platform Engineering team.  This team is responsible for abstracting the complexities of the cloud, so that application features can move from development to production in a seamless, secure and fully automated manner.
 

You’ll create a lasting impact by

• Playing a key role in how platform delivers to its roadmap
• Being involved in the buildout of our product roadmaps, feature prioritisation and user story elaboration
• Having responsibility for traceability from requirements to implementation
• Undertaking deep analysis of Platform performance and providing insights for continual improvement
• Being passionate about continual improvement, being fearless in speaking up and identifying how we can be better

What You’ll Bring with You

• Strong business analysis skills leveraging structured thinking
• The ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
• Ability to quickly absorb new knowledge and make fuzzy inferences about it
• Being comfortable with ambiguity
• Extensive experience writing user stories, business requirements (functional and non-functional) and acceptance criteria, shaping these into sprint deliverables
• A can-do attitude with a willingness to get involved and taking ownership of tasks
• Familiarity with cloud and platform engineering (GCP preferred) with an appetite and confidence in learning about our platform tech stack

What will a “day in the life” of a “Platform Analyst” look like?

• Partner with the Product Owner to validate requirements, priority and ensuring alignment to business value
• Collaborate with our Architects, Engineers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters to understand and translate requirements into workable technology outcomes
• Uncover dependencies and identify and manage work sequencing
• Provide ongoing support for the team as required e.g. incident management, change and release management
• Participate in team ceremonies (standups, planning, retros)
• Backlog refinement and sprint preparation to ensure stories and epics have enough detail to commence build
