About The Role

Role Location: 839 Collins St, Docklands VIC 3008

Role Type: Fixed-term until September 2022; Full-time

As the Senior Payroll Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Payroll Governance team with BAU and various payroll initiatives. You will provide Payroll & Governance subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders within Technology, Talent & Culture, Group Tax and end-users. You will also liaise and act as a key influencer across bank departments on projects impacting payroll.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Ensuring the accuracy of payroll activities and the avoidance of fraud & errors
  • Supporting & driving customer satisfaction by resolving complex payroll escalations and putting processes in place to avoid future occurrences
  • Ensuring that legislative changes are fully understood and implemented
  • Supporting the build of capability & payroll knowledge within the payroll governance & delivery teams
  • Ensuring that all tasks & initiatives are executed in line with defined service levels and operational risk requirements

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • A strong understanding of payroll industry best practice
  • Excellent knowledge of a large ERP/Payroll system
  • Strong technical payroll ability and understanding of the change management process
  • Proven ability to work within a team while supporting and coaching onshore & offshore teams
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills combined with the ability to identify risks, possible solutions, and corrective actions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
