Senior Payroll Officer

The Star Entertainment Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer with SAP system experience and Success Factors, to join the Payroll team on a permanent, full-time basis. 

What we are looking for:

As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will review payroll outcomes for accuracy, ensure adequate training and coaching of Payroll Officers and take the lead in resolving complex queries. This role actively contributes to continuous improvement and project workshops in a supportive, engaging and social environment!  

You will have a passion for coaching and mentoring junior team members, enjoy learning multiple areas of payroll and understand regular month-end tasks!

Key responsibilities in the role are but are not limited to:

• Lead and support the delivery of an SAP project across the group as a priority
• Act as the first point of contact for resolving complex and escalated payroll queries for external customers
• Complete Month-End payroll related activities
• Develop a sound knowledge of Enterprise Agreement, statutory requirements, remuneration and benefits, and payroll/personnel administration policies and procedures
• Identify and recommend continuous business process improvement of processes, policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Significant previous experience and supervisory/management experience are desirable
• Proficiency in using SAP payroll systems, Successfactors, ERP, Word, and Excel
• Knowledge of Acts and Regulations, Financial Statutory requirements
• Considerable experience in a large payroll environment with knowledge of both Salaries and Awards
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service and solution-focused services
