We are seeking a hardworking and passionate Assistant Manager to lead daily operations. We are looking for a leader who can motivate and encourage the team to provide the highest level of customer service to our guests.

The successful candidate will be part of the team at Rock Lily. This is a hands-on role highly focused on guest experience, the successful candidate will be a leader who enjoys the interaction with people with a goal to deliver guest service excellence.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and motivating the team to continuously deliver a thrilling guest experience in line with our service culture
  • Working autonomously and able to lead a shift with decisiveness
  • Leading from the front and maintaining presence on the floor
  • Delivering on COVID Safe practices in line with The Star COVID Safe Management Plan
  • Delivering on key metrics relating to labour, compliance, and COGS
  • Coordinating and executing events
  • Assisting with recruitment, performance management and development

The requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years bar supervisory/management experience in a food & beverage venue
  • Broad knowledge of beverage products and current industry trends
  • Intermediate understanding of RSA compliance
  • Experience leading a diverse team of Bar Attendants, Bar Porters and Cocktail Servers
  • Experience coordinating and executing functions
  • Experience with performance management and self/staff development
  • Experience with Rostering and venue stocktakes
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships frontline staff and senior stakeholders
  • Excellent time management communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence
  • High attention to detail and be extremely organised
  • Ability to think ahead and plan proactively
