Junior Sous Chef - ELE by Federico & Karl

We are currently accepting applications for Junior Sous Chefs wanting to be a part of ELE by Federico & Karl, The Star Sydney’s newest and most luxurious signature dining venue.

In this role, you will oversee a section of the kitchen and its seamless operation in partnership with Executive Chefs, Federico Zanellato & Karl Firla, ensuring a positive and exciting environment, where flawless delivery and execution of product excellence and service are paramount.

We are looking for skilled chefs who can empower, encourage and deliver an outstanding and personalised service to our guests whilst showcasing the absolute best produce Australia can offer.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Managing day-to-day operations, meeting the quality, standards, and expectations of the guests daily
• Training, mentoring, and guiding team member to perform kitchen operations seamlessly
• Handling, reporting and following up all incidents
• Maintaining food cost to parameter given by the company
• Keeping outlet ahead of HACCP standards

The right candidates will:

• Possess solid experience as a Junior Sous Chef / Chef de Partie in a fine dining venue.
• Have relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
• Have Experience working in a busy and fast-paced kitchen
• Possess a strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment
• Have full working rights to commit to 40 hours per week on a rotating roster that can include weekends and public holidays
