About the role

As the Senior Category Manager for Protein, Meals and Frozen Snacks you will report directly to the Business Category Manager of Frozen. 

You will be accountable for growing profitable category sales by satisfying our customer’s needs, growing market share in line with strategic goals. 

 

What you'll be doing

Focussing on supplier relationships and the execution of customer centric category strategies, to drive sales and profit performance ahead of budget and in line with your forecasts.

 

You'll also:

  • Build sustainable, long-term supplier relationships.
  • Influence and negotiate both internally and externally to deliver strong outcomes for the category and Frozen team.
  • Lead and develop team members.
  • Be accountable for the execution of the category's pricing, promotion, range selection, layout development and product development.

 

Good things you'll need

This is a complex position that would suit an experienced Category Manager.

 

You'll also need:

  • A thorough understanding of managing complex categories.
  • Experience managing a number of suppliers, with varying levels of complexity.
  • Leadership experience to effectively manage a team.
  • Outstanding influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. 
  • A dynamic style, to operate in a fast paced, customer-driven retail environment.
  • Strong financial acumen within a highly commercial environment.
