About the role

 

As the Commercial Manager - NSW you’ll report to the Head of Finance – Supply Chain.  This role will lead the Distribution Centre (DC) finance and Commercial Finance function supporting the Distribution Centre Managers (DCM’s) and the Operations teams across NSW.  The role will work across 3 Distribution Centres located in Eastern Creek & Smeaton Grange.

 

 

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Lead the budgeting process in the DC’s on behalf of finance including establishing clear KPI’s, cost reduction initiatives and useful tools an analysis to enable better planning and decision making.
  • Coach and mentor analyst to support the commercial network
  • Influence and engage across the business to provide commercial finance support including analysis change decision making planning and forecasting
  • Working in partnership with the DCM’s and Supply Chain Project manage is across the business to embed central initiatives with commercial decision support governance and ensuring operations strategies and initiatives deliver benefits for the network
  • Identify commercial risk and opportunities across the DC ongoing and work with the business to implement risk mitigation plans and provide insight and visibility into drivers of performance to improve commercial outcomes
  • Work closely with the broader finance community to lead the development of common best practice processes and standardised ways of working
  • Ensure that all business plans, budgets and regular reporting across supply are accurate, delivered on time

 

 

 

Good things you’ll need

 

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Logistics preferred
  • A relevant Degree or Qualification as CA or CPA
  • Finance experience in a FMCG or Retail environment desirable
  • A strong working history in a Commercial role
  • Varied finance background covering financial control, financial reporting, planning and analysis and business partnering
  • Experience influencing to improve the strategic direction and performance of the business
  • Able to drive change, partner with key stakeholders and able to challenge decisions #LI-FIN
