About the role

We are looking for a proactive, performance driven individual with Category Manager experience to join the Grocery Pantry Team in the key role of Category Manager Food Dressings.

 

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the BCM Pantry, the role will be responsible for the commercial delivery and Category Management of Food Dressings comprising of five individual exciting categories - Cooking Oils, Herbs & Spices, Sauces & Relish, Mayonnaise & Salad Dressings and Vinegar.  The portfolio is in substantial growth currently delivering sales of $650m per year and is responsible for bringing flavour to our customers everyday meals.

 

The successful candidate will lead a range of long term strategic projects linked to operational efficiency, customer shop-ability, supplier sourcing and sustainability. The variety of supply chains across the product portfolio is substantial and having strong relationships with international suppliers is integral to the business continuity planning. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to continue driving Own brand flavour innovation and creating more sustainable supply chains.  The current Category Manager leads and develops a team of 2 direct reports, a Business Category Coordinator and a Buying and Trading Graduate.

 

Good things you’ll need

  • Demonstrated Category Management experience within a retail environment.
  • Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Creative style with the ability to operate in a dynamic, customer-driven retail environment.
  • Proven ability to champion and drive change.
  • Strong financial acumen within a highly commercial environment.
  • A performance driven nature and personality.
