What you'll be doing

 

As the Business Analyst - Merchandise Transformation & Own Brand, you'll have a strong understanding of Performance reporting and interpretation, including understanding;

  • Strong understanding of above store costs (cost centre CODB) and Project Trials; drivers of performance and variances to budget/forecast
  • Support Merch Transformation Finance and the Business to deliver information to financial control and central reporting team as required
  • Assist with the preparation of business case modelling to support capital requests, including liaising with key stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Identification and analysis of commercial opportunities and risks; providing recommendations to the team based on in-depth analytical review
  • Support annual budget inputs for sales & margin, above store costs and projects
  • Ensure latest plans & forecasts reflect the most up to date strategic challenges and directions of the team

 

 

Good things you'll need

 

  • CPA/CA qualified
  • FMCG or Retail experience beneficial
  • Business / Customer Insights
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills
  • Strong PowerPoint and storytelling skills preferable
  • TM1 experience preferable but not essential
  • Confident user of ERP systems to extract and manipulate data (eg. SAP)
  • Highly responsive and comfortable working at pace, often with limited data or ambiguity
  • Developing knowledge of key financial metrics and ratios what they imply, and understanding of appropriate situations in which to apply them #LI-FIN
