About the Opportunity
Uniting is seeking a compassionate Ordained Minister or suitably qualified layperson to fill a full-time Chaplaincy role. This unique position will be based at the Uniting Gerringong campus with oversight of the whole South Coast.
As Chaplain, your role includes leading a team of Pastoral Practitioners and Pastoral Care volunteers within the local Hub and implementing the delivery of pastoral care, sacrament, worship services, and chaplaincy programs to meet the spiritual and pastoral needs of Residents, Clients, Staff, Families, and Volunteers.
You must have experience in ministry in an aged-care context, demonstrating a passion for pastoral care. We are seeking a proven ability in, and understanding of, reflective transformational pastoral practice as well as strong administrative and leadership skills. In addition, this position offers the opportunity to work with the wider chaplaincy team in shaping the vision and delivery of pastoral care across Uniting Ageing.
Working hours and Terms of Placement are in accordance with the Guidelines of the Uniting Church, Synod of NSW and the ACT and calls for the Chaplain to adhere to the polity and ethos of the Uniting Church, and the Mission Vision and Values of Uniting.
