About the Role
Occupation therapy placement supervisors are required for two placement blocks - eight weeks in June/July and four weeks in October/November. The student supervisor role will include two additional weeks for pre-placement planning and report preparation attached to each block.
In a partnership with agency staff the Swinburne supervisor will:
- Liaise with university staff
- Negotiate with the agency to plan the student program
- Provide direct Occupational therapy supervision during the placement
- Consult with agency staff to prepare student reports
- Complete the student evaluations at midway and completion
This position will suit someone with an interest in student supervision and occupational therapy education.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Experience in student supervision
- Experience running group programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound organisational and time management skills
Qualifications
A qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA
