About the role

Bring your highly developed Administration experience and organisational skills to this fast paced and diverse role, the administrative needs of our Child Youth & Family team in Wollongong.

To succeed in this role, you will have the ability to positively build and maintain relationships, proactively provide high quality administrative support to our teams  and have the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.

This position is based in our Wollongong office on a Permanent Part Time Basis (4 days per week, 8.30am - 5pm), with the possibility of Full time in the future. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Searching for and setting up urgent accommodation
  • Arranging urgent payment to accommodation
  • Procurement for houses and assisting with the set up of new houses
  • Assisting to onboard new employees
  • Reception duties and coordinating meeting spaces
  • General administration and ensuring the smooth running of the office

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in providing administrative support and assistance within a fast paced, multifaceted organisation
  • Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to use initiative in the workplace and demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in using Microsoft Office suite programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current Driver Licence

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exemption certificate.  You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
