About the Role

Mockingbird Family™ is an innovative way to structure the support and supervision provided to foster and kinship carers to create caring homes, inclusive of family, culture and community. Life Without Barriers partners with The Mockingbird Society to both implement and license the model to interested agencies in Australia.

In this position, you will lead the external development and expansion of Mockingbird Family™.

You will lead fidelity and evaluation activities and work closely with teams to support Mockingbird Family™ implementation within LWB, while establishing and maintaining external relationships and network across the sector to help expand the implementation in other organisations.

You will manage the relationship with The Mockingbird Society and leverage business information, client and staff data, evaluations and other approaches to inform program improvements that lead to better outcomes for children and young people and carers.

As a member of the Strategy & Engagement team, the role will participate in and lead cross-team dynamic problem solving activities, support CARE and MST initiatives, model the identified business partner method of engagement and contribute to the stewardship of all elements of the Strategy & Engagement team.

Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Mockingbird Family™
  • Tertiary level qualifications in Human Services or Social Sciences (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in implementing programs for children, youth and family service delivery including:
  • Deep knowledge base in theoretical and empirical underpinnings children, youth and family service delivery
  • Demonstrated understanding of evidence informed programming, implementation and quality assurance and improvement principles and practice
  • Evidence of success in managing the delivery of evidence-informed programs.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures to guide practice in a large geographically diverse national organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing a strong network of a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes
  • Experience in project and program management, design and evaluation

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
