You will be responsible for providing support with activities of daily living and developing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Plans including personal care. In these roles you will work to facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes with and for the clients within the house. This role involves working with 5 high functioning clients with some high behavioural needs and who also have high medical needs.

The house profile: This house is situated in Mont Albert surrounded by parks, cafes, and amenities. Assistance and support are required with meal planning and preparation, domestic chores, and community access. The residents enjoy a range of activities both within the house and in the community and are active in sports and recreation.

All roles are part-time ongoing positions, the roster details outlined as fortnightly hours is detailed below:

Roster Hours:

  • Part time line – Roster splits 42:00/40:30
  • Part time line – Roster splits 53:30/34:00
  • Part time line – Roster splits 45:30/37:30
  • Part time line – Roster splits 39:30/38:30
  • Part time line – Roster splits 37:30/28:30

All rosters are a combination of morning and afternoon shifts. Some weekend shifts are required in each line per monthly roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of the house
  • Develop planned activities in line with policies and guidelines
  • Liaise with family members, medical services, departmental services, and external services to help meet client needs
  • Administer medication treatments and therapies according to prescribed protocols or otherwise, seek appropriate medical assistance

Essential Qualifications:

  • A current Senior First Aid (level 2) Certificate
  • A current unrestricted Driver Licence
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities
  • The ability to develop a positive relationship with service users and to support their Individual Personal Plan
