About the Role
The purpose of the Child and Family Practitioner (Finding Kin) position is to identify kinship options for young people in out of home care. This role will also provide a high level of skilled casework support and supervision to the placement of children and young people in a family-based care arrangement and outreach style support to young people in the community. Casework relating to Carer support and Regulation of Care is also a focus.
The role of the Child and Family Practitioner will work in partnership with the foster carer, children and young people, relevant government agencies and stakeholders to develop and implement individualised care plans to ensure the relevant standards of care required by QLD government are always met and to give priority to the protection and well-being of children and young people.
This position is being offered as permanent full-time contract, and is based from our office in Townsville.
Skills and Experience
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
