About the Role

Working in our Lifestyle program in Orange on a casual basis, you will be required to assist clients in the day program and community-based supports. In the day program you will be required to assist the client with various activities such as art, craft, sewing, gardening, personal care and transport. Whilst working in their homes and the community, this may involve you taking them shopping, to appointments and community-based activities. These shifts range from 9am-8pm, Monday - Sunday. 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients to explore and participate in community-based activities particularly sports, such as swimming and walking
• Increase the client’s choice and independence
• Establish relationships with clients, their families, and supporters 
• Support clients to manage their health, including mental health
• Manual handling, including operation of hoists
• Complete documentation and reporting requirements

Skills & Experience 

• Certificate III in Disability, Community Services or similar OR willingness to obtain
• Unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Sound computer, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adhere to client support plans and complete documentation
